Gold Butte

October 12–16, 2026 — Southeastern Nevada

Tucked between the Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument and Lake Mead in southeastern Nevada, Gold Butte is 350,000 acres of remote desert wilderness — ancient petroglyphs and pictographs sacred to the Southern Paiute, sandstone formations sculpted over millennia, and some of the most striking and least-visited terrain in the American West.

  • 350,000 acres of protected desert wilderness designated as a National Monument in 2016
  • Sacred land of the Nuwuvi (Southern Paiute) people — petroglyphs and pictographs tell ancient stories
  • Dramatic sandstone formations, Joshua tree forests, and critical desert tortoise habitat
  • Partnership with Friends of Gold Butte

Protecting What Matters

Sacred Sites. Ancient Stories. Threatened Land.

Three Pillars

01

Content Gathering

Brands in the overland industry need authentic, high-quality content. OI creates a platform to capture that content — content that tells a real story while cross-pollinating with other brands in the segment.

02

Industry Networking

A curated mix of brands and influencers, brought together in the backcountry. No convention center handshakes — real relationships built around campfires, on trails, and through shared experience.

03

Public Land Advocacy

Every expedition shines a light on remarkable — and often threatened — public land. We partner with local and indigenous communities to tell their stories and advocate for lasting protection.

How It Works

1

Invitation

OI is invite-only. A curated mix of brands, influencers, and media — selected to create the right chemistry.

2

Preparation

Diff Comms scouts the route, coordinates logistics, and briefs attendees. You show up self-sustaining and ready.

3

Expedition

Three to five days on trail through remarkable public land. Cultural education, vehicle rotations, and epic backcountry camping.

4

Content & Impact

Attendees leave with hundreds of authentic assets. Coverage amplifies the conservation story across social and earned media.
